Athletic Trainer
Name: Morten Orren, ATC
E-Mail: [email protected]
Phone: (425)837-4914
Morten Orren is entering his fourteenth year at Liberty High school. After spending his formative years on the Eastside (EHS '97), Morten decided to keep up with the 'east' theme and enrolled at Eastern Washington University, where he earned his Bachelors degree in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training.
Upon graduating from that fine institution he needed to complete 1500 hours of interning which was accomplished at the Washington Institute of Sports Medicine and right here at Liberty High School under the tutelage of Larry Brown.
Not long after finishing up all of those hours and completing the grueling certification exam, Morten was hired by Virginia Mason Medical Center to provide Athletic Training services in the Seattle Public School District. He was responsible for caring for all of the sports programs at both Nathan Hale and Roosevelt High Schools. It was while working at Roosevelt that he managed to make his big screen debut in the background of the incredible documentary "The Heart of the Game". If you haven't seen it yet, it is highly recommended that you go out and buy/rent it.
After spending 4.5 years in Seattle, it came time to move on and he landed right back here where it all started.
Morten is married to his lovely wife Leah and they have two incredible children, Emmett (10) and Delilah (6)
